Class of 1973 Affton High School Alumni 50th Anniversary of our graduation celebration is set and you are invited. We have lots of events to come. Click here to register and pre-pay.
PAST EVENTS
Sunday, September 25, 2022 – We meet at Villa Antonia Winery at 11 am at
3660 Linhorst, Hillsboro Missouri. This was open to all. Sally Swyers Rajnoha was the lead person on this event and we had a great time. To see photos of this event check out the photo gallery. We had 18 in attendance.
Friday, Oct 21, 2022 – Affton home football game at Affton Stadium. The mighty Affton Cougars took on the lowly Clayton Greyhounds. The Pre-game Dinner started at 4:30 PM at 9 Mile Garden on Gravois in Affton, then we will head to the Affton High Burnette Football Stadium at 6:15 PM for the kickoff at 7:00 PM followed by a post-game Celebration at the 9 Mile Garden following the game. Steve Ciegel was the host for this event. We had 28 in attendance. Check out the photo galley for some great shots of classmates and the new stadium!
Thursday, Jan 12, 2023 – Holiday Cocktail Party – Affton Class of ’73, is planning a Holiday Cocktail Party on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Social House Bar & Grill, 4265 Reavis Barracks Rd. and next door to Kim Hoffman Eernisse’ 19th Hole Lounge, at 4253, just south of the Affton School District line and I-55. Both are in the strip mall on the northeast corner of Reavis Barracks and Union. Festivities, planned by event cohosts, Sandy Johns Kolb and Kim. Come early and stay later. Look for the purple and gold balloons. The snow or Inclement weather date is Thursday, Jan 26, 2023. Sandy Johns Kolb was the host for this event. Thursday, March 16, 2023 – Cardinals’ home Spring Training baseball game against the visiting World Champion Houston Astro at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Florida, 1:05 PM EDT with tickets going on sale at 9:00 a.m. CST, Jan 7 through Major League Baseball, the St Louis Cardinals, and Roger Dean Stadium. John Ziegler and Mike Holaus are co-hosts.
Saturday, May 20, 2023 – Class of 73 Golf Tournament and BBQ – Sugar Creek Golf Course in High Ridge. We are playing 9 holes and the price is $25 paid at the course. Tee times are 1 PM. Best Ball shot gun start. The event is followed by a cookout open to all including golfers and guests and is free of charge. We can bring adult drinks on the patio but not onto the course. Al Ulsas was the lead person on this event.
Saturday, June 24, 2023 Open House and Wine Tasting at the home of Gail Cindrich Thomasson on June 24th at 6:30 PM. Gail is the lead person on this event. For details, contact Gail at glcindrich@att.net
Tuesday August 15, 2023 – Class of 73 Summer Social and Boom Board Game Competition 5:00-8:00pm at Maggie O’Brien’s private room 3828 South Lindbergh Blvd, St. Louis MO 63127. Who in our class do you think remembers the most about growing up as a baby boomer? Join us and we will find out. We will gather at Maggie O’Brien’s to socialize, enjoy drinks and food (buy your own), and engage in a little Boomer competition. Doris (Weber) Smith will lead a round robin tournament using the board game “Boom Again” for a little friendly competition. Teams will take turns playing against each other to determine Top Boomers. Teams consist of 2 or 3 people. Email Doris at dcsmith7316@gmail.com with the name and members of your team by Monday August 7th. If you wish to play but don’t have a team, let Doris know and she will pair you up. If you don’t wish to play “Boom, Again”, please join us just to socialize.

Saturday, September 23, 2023 – The Affton Class of 1973 50th Reunion at Grant’s Farm* with appetizers and lots of social interaction 6:30 to 10:30 PM. Gail Cindrich Thomasson is the point person on this event. * Reservations & Prepayment required for this event
6:30 pm — Gates open for us at Grant’s Farm in the Carriage House. Cash bar
7:00 pm — Four food stations will be available from 7:00 to 9:00.
10:30 pm — Depart Grant’s Farm for a night cap at Maggie O’Brien’s at 3828 South Lindbergh Blvd, St. Louis MO 63127 open until midnight, just west of Grant’s Farm.
Sunday, September 24, 2023 – Class of 1973 Picnic at 9 Mile Garden at 12:30 PM
With your registration, you’ll get an all-access pass — just choose whether you’ll be joining us for dinner at Grant’s Farm or not! And trust us, there are plenty of social events, food, giveaways and awards to make the trip to St Louis worth it. Even if you live here!!!
